Summary

Position Overview:

This position assists with reporting to senior management and Partners, building models, dashboards and reports to measure ongoing performance of residential assets, preparation of budgets, reforecasts, funding requests and other important project documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Manager, RioCan Living Operations with analytical reporting, research and administrative work.
  • Assist in preparing monthly Development Management and Operations Reports as per Partner Agreement and internal requirements, coordinate with other RioCan disciplines as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly project draws and funding needs prior to transmission to Partner.
  • Provide residential statistics, reports and financial analysis for various departments.
  • Support Real Estate Finance for all project lending, underwriting requirements.
  • Assist in verifying project information for quarterly REIT reporting.
  • Liaise with Asset Managers, Leasing, Development, Construction and Property Management teams.
  • Set up and coordinate meetings, prepare meeting materials as required.
  • Review and assist in the preparation of operating budgets, reforecasting and strategic plans for partners.
  • Conduct residential market research by gathering, evaluating and tracking industry information.
  • Create and maintain detailed financial models on the performance of operating and development opportunities.
  • General filing and maintenance of files.
  • Create memos and other internal communication.
  • Other duties / projects as required. 

Qualification Requirements:

  • University degree in Data Science, Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a similar program.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in an analysis-intensive position with advanced modelling knowledge.
  • Prior residential and/or land development experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office is required (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in building and handling complicated data sets.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for value creation.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven team player and works well in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
